I’m honored to be teaching alongside this wonderful team and deeply excited for a year-long deep dive into lake pigments with Plants & Colour. This new online program begins January 13 and will be taught by Natalie Stopka (@nataliestopka), Lucy Mayes (@londonpigment), and myself.
This program traces the historical and material lineage of lake pigments — from ancient Egyptian recipes through medieval practices to modern-day techniques. Natalie, Lucy, and I will lead monthly live online classes, each bringing our own perspectives and processes to this enduring, age-old approach to pigment making.
