I am elated to join Atenas of Scarabajo Botanical Studio in Seattle for a fun(gi)-filled evening celebrating the extraordinary colors of mushrooms on Saturday, October 10 from 5–8pm! Part of my three-day Forest to Fiber: Foraging and Dyeing with Mushrooms workshop with Botanical Colors, this special evening is open to everyone. Come immerse yourself in an exhibition of my mushroom-dyed textiles, photographs, and prints, along with an artist talk and hands-on exploration of mushroom color. I will demonstrate how to make a lake pigment and transform mushroom pigments into watercolor paints, with opportunities to swatch and experiment with the colors yourself. We will also have a book signing, mushroom-inspired bites and refreshments, and plenty of time to gather and talk all things fungi.
