This little button flower literally is a burst of sunshine as it blooms look like a glowing sun and the lovely shade of yellow it creates is dreamy. We wait until they are in full bloom and harvest them late in the afternoon sun after they have completely opened up and unfurled. To get a brighter more vibrant yellow I add a pinch of chalk, you can immediately see the dye bath turn more yellow! It is perfect for bundle dyeing, making pigments and creating paint. The package contains 50g of chamomile and will dye ~200g of fiber. For medium shades use 30% weight of fiber. All flowers are organically grown, hand harvested and dried in the Trout Lake summer heat. They come in a compostable package, just remove the tin tab, and return it to the soil.
