I love growing this fluttery little flower! We harvest them by the handful and it really packs a punch of a color creating a range of deep oranges to olive greens to golden yellow to rust browns and corals. To get a reddish shade I shift the pH of the dye bath with a pinch of soda ash, you can immediately see the dye bath turn more red! It is perfect for bundle dyeing, making pigments and creating paint. The package contains 25g of coreopsis and will dye ~250g of fiber. For medium shades use 10% weight of fiber. All flowers are organically grown, hand harvested and dried in the Trout Lake summer heat. They come in a compostable package, just remove the tin tab, and return it to the soil.
