There are many ways to print and paint on textiles with natural colour, and it can be hard to know where to begin. To guide you through this rich terrain, Plants & Colour has created a year-long online learning program, beginning January 21, exploring techniques from dye pastes and resist printing to soy paints, mordant printing, glue paints, and more.
It’s a true thrill to be teaching alongside this inspiring group as we explore over eleven approaches to creating patterned textiles that are both light-fast and wash-fast. The program is taught by Natalie Stopka (@nataliestopka), Greta Facchinato (@studiogretafacchinato), Caroline Ross (@foundandground), Winona Quigley (@greenmattersnaturaldyeco), Jacqui Symons (@studioslowlane), and myself.
